Branding Your Inlife Business With Your Own Domain

Once you have signed up to join the Inlife Opportunity, you will have your own replicated website whose url will be www.myinlife.com/your-chosen-username

This can be a little cumbersome for business cards etc, so many people choose to brand their business with their own domain name and forward and mask their replicated website to it.

That may sound complicated….but all it really means is that your domain name.. www.neilselectricsmokes.com becomes the domain that takes your potential clients to your replicated website.

Here is a step by step guide to this process.

1. Go to www.godaddy.com and find a domain for your business. you can search for names that you like and it will return the results as to whether the name you have chosen is available.

Once you find a suitable domain follow the purchase steps and set up your account with godaddy. You dont need to purchase anything except the domain…for .info extensions this should cost you as low as $1 a year for the first year.

Once you receive your confirmation of purchase by e-mail,

2. go to www.godaddy.com and login to your account.

3. once logged in, click on the top bar ‘Domains’ and then a drop down menu will appear. Click on ‘My Domains’

4. your domain name should appear in blue and underlined. Click on it.

5.  A page will open up with lots of information about your domain. In the first column under the ‘Domain Information’ header towards the bottom you will find a heading ‘Forwarding’

Click on the ‘Manage’  in blue opposite. A pop up screen will appear.

Your cursor will be flashing in the box. Type in your replicated website url ( www.myinlife.com/your-username)

6. Ckick on advanced options.

7. Click the box Forward with Masking.

It will then bring up 3 boxes to fill. 1 Title, 2. Description and 3. Keywords

The Title is what appears in the blue band at the top of the webpage…’ buy Inlife electronic cigarettes in Billoxi’ for example

The description should be similar but you have a little room to add a little extra.

Keywords are the most important search terms you can think of. Try  the Google keyword tool https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal for ideas

Once completed, click OK and you are done.

Wait ten minutes and then check your domain by typing it into you browser (where it normally says http://www.Google.com). Just type in your domain www.neilelectronicsmokes.com…

If your replicated website appears with your title etc….all is well.

If not….just go back and check you typed in the url correctly.
