Electronic Cigarette News - FDA Bow To Big Tabacco & Drug Co’s

The Recent advisory by The FDA regarding electronic cigarettes brings a wry smile to this writers face. I had been wondering how long it would take tabacoo and drug company lobbyists to pressure the FDA, who are controlled by the Drug industry, to start critising a product that was making inroads into their revenue and profits.
The test results, if anything , came out on the side of the electronic cigarette industry with only one sample being found with one ingredient that funnily enough, is also found in abundance in regular cigarettes ( along with about 4000 other chemicals).
It reminds me of the ’seven dwarfs’ statements to congress that cigarettes wern’t addictive or contained cancer causing agents.
There is an issue involved however, and the sooner the elecric cigarette industry standardizes testing of imported nicotine refills the sooner another avenue of critism will be closed to the tabacco and drug industry.
As for this writer, who was a smoker for years, I take it any reasonably minded person can tell the difference between:

nicotine + tabacco smoke(4000 chemical agents) = normal tabacco cigarette

nicotine + water vapor + food additive = electronic cigarette

I dont need the FDA to tell me which one is more likely to give me cancer and in a less than perfect world I will expect the federal government to make the appropriate decision to allow me to purchase and use the latter product. The likely savings on healthcare alone should be enough of an incentive not to let the lobbyists win this argument.
